Elisa Janson is thrilled to join the Colorado Brass Band as a Board Member at Large. With a lifelong passion for music and community engagement, Elisa brings extensive experience in both music performance and nonprofit leadership to the ensemble. She has served as Executive Director and Conductor for various musical groups, including the Grand Junction Centennial Band, and has a rich history of developing successful community outreach programs, fundraising initiatives, and strategic plans that strengthen music organizations.
Elisa is also the Founder and CEO of Sovereign+, a consulting firm that supports nonprofits and small businesses in their growth through innovative strategic solutions. Her expertise lies in creating and operationalizing educational programs, marketing strategies, and development plans. She has consulted for a range of industries, including music education, where her work has positively impacted thousands of students and educators globally. A former member of Utah Premier Brass, Elisa is excited to be back in the brass band world. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University, and is currently completing her Doctorate in Education. Elisa looks forward to contributing her skills in strategic planning, outreach, and educational development to help Colorado Brass thrive. Outside of her professional pursuits, Elisa enjoys outdoor activities, community volunteering, and, of course, playing her instrument.
