Geoff Tyndall is currently the solo tenor horn player for Colorado Brass and the Rocky Mountain Brassworks. Geoff started playing music at the age of eleven, actually on tenor horn. After playing for local bands through middle- and high school, he went to Cambridge to study chemistry. There he played for the City of Cambridge Band, who were at that time conducted by David Read, and competed at the Championship level. After obtaining Bachelors and Doctoral degrees in chemistry, Geoff moved to Germany and then to Boulder, conducting research on the composition of the atmosphere. Eventually he discovered that brass bands were alive and well in Colorado, and began to play with Brassworks. In 2018 he began to play with Colorado Brass. Geoff has played solos with full band and with piano accompaniment in the Rocky Mountain region, and was the NABBA Senior Slow Melody Champion for Tenor Horn in 2019.
