Auditions will be held virtually this season. The audition date is Aug. 11th between 6-9pm.
In addition, we currently have substitute openings for all positions within the standard British-style brass band instrumentation: E flat soprano cornet, B flat cornet, Flugelhorn, E flat tenor horn, B flat baritone, trombone, bass trombone, euphonium, E flat bass, B flat bass and percussion. Performers who do not own a cornet, tenor horn, baritone or basses pitched in E flat or B flat are encouraged to audition. Audition materials: Once you have submitted your interest form audition material will be dispersed to the email provided. A brief resume of your playing experience (submit to: info@coloradobrass.org). Alternative audition accommodations can be made once you have submitted the “intent to audition survey” link below.
Subs and prospective musicians may be invited to join the group for a rehearsal or perform on a concert without auditioning. When a vacancy occurs, an audition will be held to fill the position, a winner will be selected, and a two month trial period will commence, at the end of which the Artistic Director will inform the candidate as to their status as a permanent member.

About: Approximately 30 musicians are required for each of the three regular season concerts plus the Rocky Mountain Brass Band Festival. The Colorado Brass will attend the North American Brass Band Association Championships on April 17-19, 2019. Rehearsals are on most Sunday evenings throughout the academic year in the Denver area. The Colorado Brass, per NABBA requirements, is a volunteer organization of 30+ professional musicians performing grade 5-6 literature with the express intent of creating dynamic and engaging performances for audiences and musically fulfilling experiences for performers in traditional and modern brass band styles. The Colorado Brass, founded in January 2018, has already earned high praise for its stirring performances and collaborations with world-renowned soloists, conductors and composers.
