Roberta joined Colorado Brass in 2022 as a cornet player. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in trumpet performance from Arizona State University.
Throughout a long career as a musician, Roberta has held positions with Central City Opera orchestra, Denver Brass, Boulder Philharmonic, Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Opera Orchestra, and was a founding member of Heavy Metal Brass Quintet in Tucson. She currently plays with The Classical Brass (quintet) and Stratus Chamber Orchestra in addition to doing freelance work throughout the Front Range.
In addition to her career as a musician, Roberta has held several arts education/outreach and development administrative positions with organizations such as Opera Colorado, Boulder Philharmonic and Tucson Symphony. Most recently she worked in the membership department for Colorado Public Radio.
She and her husband are now enjoying an early retirement. In her free time, Roberta enjoys golfing, Wordle and crossword puzzles, cooking, birdwatching, riding around Colorado on the back of a Harley piloted by her “biker man” husband, and, of course, BRASS BANDING!
